Gotu Kola

Gotu
Kola has been used for hundreds of years in both Ayurvedic and
Chinese medicines. Gotu Kola has been important in the medicinal

Native Americans and early American settlers used the berries to

steroidal saponin, tannins, and polysaccharides. The herb is called
the "plant catheter" due to its therapeutic effect on the neck of
the bladder and the prostate in men.
Saw Palmetto is widely used for

Fo-Ti
is a plant native to China where it continues to be widely grown. Fo-Ti
is also grown extensively in Japan and Taiwan. The Chinese common
name for Fo-Ti, He-Shou-Wu, was the name of a Tang dynasty man whose
infertility was supposedly cured by Fo-Ti; in addition, his long
life was attributed to the tonic properties of this herb. Since
then, traditional Chinese medicine uses Fo-Ti to treat premature
aging, weakness, vaginal discharges, numerous infectious diseases,
angina pectoris, and erectile dysfunction.
The
primary chemical compounds found in the Fo-Ti herb are
phospholipids, anthraquinones, tannins, and tetrahydroxystilbene
glucoside. It is the combination of these substances in the root of
the Fo-Ti that makes it have to ability to lower cholesterol levels
and explain why this herb is so popular in Chinese medicine.
Eastern and Western herbalists also recommend Fo-Ti as a tonic to
maintain youthful vigor, increase energy and purify the blood.

Yohimbe

Yohimbe is a tree that grows throughout the
African nations of Cameroon, Gabon and Zaire. (A similar plant in
South America is called Quebracho). For centuries, natives from
these areas have ingested both the crude bark and purified compound
